Marriage Equality in Maine

April 21, 2009

Tomorrow, Maine legislators will begin hearings at 9am on LD 1020, a bill to legalize gay marriages.  Hearings will go until 8pm, and throughout the day I’ll be sharing some photos and short dispatches from the day here. The hearings were moved from a local high school to the Augusta Civic Center in light of the expected attendance (their website says it seats 8,000 in “festival seating”).

My “on-the-ground reporter” is my mother, who is attending with Equality Maine.
