The DC City Council just unanimously (Correction: 12-1 because Marion Barry didn’t know what he was voting on and requested a re-vote) passed a bill to recognize same sex marriages from other states. This should cause quite the debate in Congress on both marriage equality and increase the visibility of the issue of DC home rule.
Debate in the Maine House is underway on LD 1020.
